We’re looking for photos that best capture Australia's national security effort. They could show counter-terrorism activities, national security planning, critical infrastructure protection or any of those activities which safeguard Australians.

Send in your national security picture for a chance to win the following prize:
Registration at the the Safeguarding Australia Summit: 5th Homeland Security Summit, which is held 19-21 September 2006 in Canberra. (valued at $1115)
People are responsible for their own travel costs to get to the conference and accommodation at it.
The winner will be announced in front of several hundred national security experts at the Summit. A selection of all the photos will be displayed in the main conference theatre and at the conference dinner.

How to enter
You can only email in your photo in digital form as the photo will be judged electronically.
Email your photo to photo@homelandsecurity.org.au.
You need to include with the photo email:
- a caption of your photo.
- contact details including your name, address, organisation (if desired), email address, telephone number/s
- a statement that you took the photograph
- the approximate date the photograph was taken
- a statement to say that you accept the terms and conditions of entry
Other requirements
- Each person can submit up to 4 photos
- All photos have to be taken within Australia or relate to Australian interests overseas
- You need to submit your photo by 5 September 2006

Terms and conditions of entry
- Entries must be received by 5.00 pm AEST on 5 September 2006.
- AHSRC does not accept any liability for lost, delayed or incomplete entries.
- All photographs entered in this competition must have been taken by the entrant..
- Entrants must obtain permission from people featured in their photographs before submitting them in this competition, and ensure the subjects understand these photos may be published.
- The winner will be announced at the Safeguarding Australia Summit: 5th Homeland Security Summit, 19-21 September 2006, Canberra.
- The winner will be contacted by the organisers prior to the Summit.
- Competition prizes cannot be redeemed as cash.
- The decision on all matters relating to the competition is final, and no correspondence will be entered into concerning the competition’s judging.
- The competition is open to everyone.
- The AHSRC reserves the right to showcase the photograph entries on the AHSRC website (www.homelandsecurity.org.au), or in its publications, without payment.
- The copyright of the photos will remain the property of the photographer.
